Are You in Sync?

How often do people ask you: “Are you in sync?” In the beginning of the computer era, we were all working on our personal computers and we stored our documents in one place. Most of us made a back-up. Some of us didn’t, unfortunately.

In the Cloud

For a few years, many of us have been working “in the cloud” and a lot of people are working on several devices. A great step forward. When I lose my phone, I can continue somewhere else on another device. My Gmail continues there, my documents are in Dropbox and my notes are in Evernote. The main information is stored in a general source.

Sync on Time!

But…. we need to be in sync! A few weeks ago I was on an airplane. I assumed I could work on some documents, but I had forgotten to synchronize. I was not “in sync”. So I could do nothing. I had not taken the time to be in sync with the source.

Connect to the Source

This is also how our Christian life works. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can be “in sync” with God. We have access to the Source, but we need to take the time to synchronize. God gave us his Word and we can be connected to Him in prayer, but it takes time to be synchronized.

Grow in Jesus

In Jesus.net we want to connect people to God. We give them access to the Gospel, help them to get to know God, but also want them to grow in Christ. This last part is to synchronize with Him. Some partners are working on innovations in this area.

Are You in Sync?

So, my question for you today is: Did you take time today to synchronize with God? If not, sit down, read his Word, pray, and connect to the real Source. Otherwise you will be “out of sync”!
