Choose to see as God sees

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (The Bible, 1 Corinthians 1:18)
As Passover approaches this evening, let’s take a moment to remember. Close your eyes and imagine: Jesus on the cross, His blood running over the rough wood, His last breath of life, the sky darkening…

Open the eyes of your heart and see: Jesus resurrected, Jesus on the throne, sovereign Jesus. Sin erased, death fleeing… Everything that had an air of defeat is a resounding victory. What seemed without hope now makes a public display of death!

Today, perhaps you find yourself in a situation without hope, of internal collapse or depression. Lift your eyes and see: you are in His hand. Look…He is with you on this path. Choose to see as God sees.

I invite you to pray with me: “Father, I pray that You help me to see this situation through Your eyes, Your gaze. Help me to look above and beyond my current problem and keep my eyes fixed on You and Your promises…Lord, thank You for Your sacrifice and resurrection! I believe that You are going to act in my favor today. In Jesus’s name, amen.”
