God will never mock you!

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | God will never mock you!

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” (The Bible, Psalm 1:1-3)
Have you noticed the progression of these verses? At the beginning, the man walks, then stops and stands, and then sits. And after sitting, what happens? He finds himself among those who scorn and mock.

Thanks be to God that another way has been made possible for you!

  • God brought you out of your poverty and sin.
  • He extended mercy like a rope to you when you were in misery.
  • You have left the mockers’ bench and have begun to walk in newness of life.
  • You were a mocker and now, you’re a worshiper!
  • Jesus became the center of your life, and you walk straight ahead, eyes fixed on Him.

There are lots of mockers, those who criticize, humiliate, demean, discredit, always see the glass half empty, and are constantly negative and defeatist. It’s easy to recognize them because they love to judge and definitely don’t bless others.

If you can, avoid their company. And if you can’t, choose not to believe what they say or let their negative words influence your life! Don’t let their mockery knock you down. This is another meaning of not sitting in the seat of the scornful.

God will never mock you. He speaks well of you: “Have you considered My servant Job?” (The Bible, Job 1:8) He is proud of the son or daughter that you are. Take Him at His Word. My friend, keep your focus on what He thinks of you! Walk with your eyes fixed on Him. This is what the Word says to you:

“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” (The Bible, Zephaniah 3:17)

Keep your focus on what God thinks of you and walk with your eyes fixed on Him.
