Have you made serious mistakes?

Despite years of experience and ministry, I still make mistakes, sometimes costly ones. Making mistakes is part of being human, isn’t it, my friend?

In these moments of “failure,” I want to remember that Jesus continues to love me, to love us…

• Yes, even when you “forget” to pray for three days, Jesus continues to love you.
• Even when you get unjustifiably angry and yell at your youngest child, Jesus continues to love you.
• Even when you light up that cigarette, when you know that it won’t do you any good, Jesus continues to love you.
• Even when you are involved in professional misconduct, because of a stupid or careless mistake, Jesus continues to love you.

Even when you do everything wrong, Jesus continues to love you.

And He will never stop loving you, no matter what you do.

Why? Because He cannot do otherwise! You are a child of God, His child. You are His most valued, beautiful creation. You are worth the blood of His Son.

So yes, God continues to love you still today, and He always will.

“‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.’” (the Bible, Jeremiah 31:3)
