The finish line is before you!

Every four years, the world’s athletes accomplish major feats in the Olympic Games. One of these feats in particular requires great psychological perseverance and physical endurance…the marathon, a long-distance run of more than 26 miles!
Imagine these same athletes trying to finish their race, but wearing heavy coats and carrying their sports bags at arm’s length. Despite their incontestable talent, preparation, and desire to win, all this would be of little use to them if they were slowed down by the weight of what they carry!

You also have a race to win, and the Word of God offers you one of the keys to achieving the victory…

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (The Bible, Hebrews 12:1)

Here are the steps:
• Lay aside your burdens and weights.
• Cast off sin.
• Run with your eyes fixed on Jesus!

The finish line is before you! From today onward, don’t let yesterday influence your present or define your future. Run with perseverance and win the prize!
