Who are you, truly?

Have you ever been through a time when you felt like you were doing too many things, were involved in too many projects? At times like these, you don’t even know who you really are any longer or what you really should be doing…

Your identity and role become defined by the context in which you find yourself. For example, at work you are… an executive assistant, employee, manager, nurse, etc. At home, you are a parent, spouse, student working towards graduation.

But what is important is not what you do but WHO you are, who you really are. You are a human being, not a human doing. As the Word of God says, “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me.” (the Bible, Song of Solomon 7:10)

Receive these words as the truth that will guide your actions, decisions, and reactions. Then, you won’t be acting according to the context or what others think but according to who God is and what His Word declares about you!

You are unique. Precious. You belong to Christ. He purchased you with His blood, His life. You are His beloved, and your identity is founded on Him and none other.

I invite you to pray with me…“Jesus, I am not defined by what I do, but by who I am. I am Yours…Your desire is toward me. Thank You for this truth that frees and refreshes me today. I ask for Your grace to live it out! In Your name, amen.”
