Can anger become your friend?

Today, Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of “A Miracle Every Day”. I pray his message and audio will bless you today.

Is anger your biggest enemy, or can it be used for the good?

I can honestly admit I’ve done a few crazy things when I didn’t know how to control my anger. I’ve punched a hole in a door while I was in seminary: that was embarrassing. I kicked my car and dented the door: that was expensive. I once punched an ice hockey referee by mistake: that hurt my Christian testimony.

Have you ever done things in anger? I think we’ve all at least said hurtful things and done things while in a state of anger.

I’m so grateful I had help to understand anger and use it for good. I hope these tips help you do the same:

  1. Anger is neither bad nor good. It is simply an emotion that comes from our interpretations and thoughts.
  2. The Bible says: In your anger do not sin”. (Ephesians 4:26, NIV) It doesn’t say that anger is evil.
  3. Control your temper. Count to ten, call a timeout, go for a walk and forgive the other person.
  4. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you with the gift of self-control.
  5. Reinterpret your situation in a way that does not cause anger. A friend and the Holy Spirit can give you new insight.

Will you ever be able to get rid of anger? Probably not, but you can learn how to control it.

I’d also like you to try something a little different: Take the energy that comes from your anger and use it for good. Use it to help others who are battling all the effects of the coronavirus, for example!

You can either let anger destroy you and others, or you can use anger to destroy fear and apathy.

You will succeed at this because you’re a miracle!

Thank you, Paul Marc, for sharing this today!

Thanks for your message. May God bless you and your team abundantly. Spot on message today (as most of times in fact :-), I’ve been so angry and frustrated lately, not being able to do everything on my plate, work, home schooling for the kids, managing our home,…Have had to reorganize so many things. Feeling overwhelmed….Lord forgive me. Thank you for your encouragements and prayers. Your messages are a real blessing.

I was more frustrating speaking to my Christian friend from child hood, she does not see that a true Christian does not believe that abortion is a sin, she will not listen and when I found myself raising my voice I felt a peace and I stopped and I prayed that her eyes would be opened. She hates our President and all he stands for and if you just mention that he is doing a great job SHE FLIPS OUT.
