Don’t stop – keep walking!

AMED 42.18

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | Don’t stop – keep walking!

For the next few days, I’m praying God will give you His special grace, especially through trials, to persevere and move forward in the things He’s calling you to do!

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever. (the Bible, Psalm 73:26, AMP)

So many things can make you want to quit everything, cause you to believe that there’s no longer any hope: grief, fatigue, health problems, conflicts and clashes, the ripple effects of the coronavirus, the numerous other daily challenges we have to face…

Did you know that in the Word of God, there are many examples of men and women who have gone through a desire to just stop and throw it all out the window? If you’ve ever been there, you’re not alone!

One example is Elijah, the renowned prophet of God! One day, after he received a death threat from the evil Jezebel, he asked God to let him die. I invite you to read 1 Kings 19:2-8

The secret is to not stop—to keep going, to persevere! The angel of God commanded Elijah to eat. And with the strength he received from this divine food, he rose up and began to walk again. And what a walk it was! 40 days and 40 nights until he came to the mountain of God.

How do you persevere until a breakthrough comes? It has been said, “Press through and you will see.” Moses is another example of a man of faith who had the opportunity, many times, to throw in the towel. Yet, the Word of God honors him for both his faith and his perseverance in Hebrews 11. The Scriptures tell us that “by faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.” (Hebrews 11:27, NKJV) Other versions say he persevered, persisted, kept right on going! Moses’ life reveals an important key: What will help you persevere is seeing the One who is unseen…by faith! By constantly watching Jesus, even when everything around you makes you doubt Him and His intervention in your life. Jesus is moving in the unseen!

I believe that you’re at the dawn of a breakthrough, a blessing, a special gift of God for your life. Don’t stop now! I exhort you, like Elijah and Moses did, to…

  • Allow God to strengthen you,
  • Keep walking, by faith!,
  • Continue to fix your eyes on the Lord.

Yes, even if the road seems narrow, you WILL reach your blessing!

I was very upset looking at my situation with many questions in my mind.

As I read your message it felt like Jesus speaking this message to me and encouraging me to not give up, to not lose hope.

I believe that I am at the dawn of the breakthrough. I take it by faith.

If this message wouldn’t have come I would have gone down in discouragement.

God bless you, Eric & team. I appreciate and praise God for your work in His kigdom, building us up and directing us to the author of our lives & faith.

    Good day!

Thank you I am going through a time where I need God yo strengthen me. New job and very big work load so much so that I am to tired at night to even read my Bible. I still do but are mostly unable to even understand what I am reading, finding myself having to read the same chapter over and over again. Yesterday I just wanted to quit. Today I am feeling stronger because I prayed for Hod to help me. I hear Him say to me today “it is going to get better” and now this message. Thank for the beautiful message. Thank you God that you hear my prayers and see my struggles.

In my journal entry last night, I literally wrote: “I give up. I quit.” in reference to this very difficult season that I’ve been going through in my marriage. It’s been 18 months of emotional hardship and yesterday I mentally threw in the towel. Then this morning, I wake up to read your devotional: “Don’t stop. Keep walking.” Knowing that God has spoken to me this morning, I pray that I have a heart to listen because my mind given up. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you to so many!

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful message ?. Currently, my daughter is going through a difficult time as a result she’s in hospital. She’s been having panic attacks…also she’s studying her honors…so you can imagine what we have been going through.

But God is always on our side, strengthening & comforting us because He’s a great God of power. Daniel 2:21 says “He controls the course of world invents”.

Thank you Eric & your ministry ?May God keep you always ?Amen

We that find ourselves encouraging others, often feel bankrupt in receiving encouragement. Thank you for a timely message.
