Get ready to throw out the old clothes!

When you’re moving, that’s often when you realize how much you’ve accumulated…and just how much room it takes! So you decide to sort through things and empty them out! You throw or give away what you don’t need anymore, like clothes that are too small, too big, or out of style.

What if you threw out your old clothes today and received new ones from the Father? Here’s what the Bible declares:

“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3, NKJV)

God wants to pour His oil of joy over you and clothe you with a garment of praise! To receive it, you have to take off your “old clothes,” which may be…

• A bad habit
• Fear of not being “on top of your game”
• A hidden sin that you haven’t been able to conquer yet

I invite you to get rid of it by laying it at the foot of the cross and never taking it up again!
