Even if we consider ourselves to be first and foremost citizens of the Kingdom of heaven, it’s still true that here and now, we’re part of a world where we have to pay bills, rent, car expenses, insurance, etc…

The cost of living is a reality. And sometimes this one thought can absorb all the others, consume our joy, and put our faith to the test. At times, we may feel crushed by the weight of finances.

Yet, God declares in Psalm 132:15, “I will abundantly bless her [Zion’s] provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.” (the Bible, NKJV)

His Word also adds in Lamentations 3:22-23, “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (NLT)

Not only does everything belong to Him, as we saw yesterday, but our God is a generous God! He loves to give what is His. From the beauty of His Word, to the richness of creation, to His mercies that are new every morning, to the lavish gift of His Son, those of us who know Him can all agree: the faithfulness and generosity of our God is simply unrivaled.

God knows your needs in all their depth and breadth. He can and wants to meet them! He has not forgotten you, and He will not leave you to manage all alone.

I pray these two testimonies of God’s generosity will greatly encourage you today:
