I regularly read messages from readers who share with me their distress, their sorrow, at seeing their children and loved ones distance themselves from God. Yet, I’d like to encourage them, and you too, my friend, if you’re in this situation.
Philippians 4:6 encourages you to turn to God. Here’s what it says…“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” (the Bible, NLT)
God never fails to hear your prayers, and He answers them faithfully, according to His sovereignty, when you call upon Him for those you love – whether it’s about:
- A job,
- An illness,
- The birth of a child,
- The death of a family member,
- Or the salvation of someone you deeply love.
You may ask, “Is there hope for my family?” And the answer is…yes, of course! And this hope is in the God who hears prayer! It’s not about only calling out to God from time to time, sending up SOS prayers, but making prayer a lifestyle. Inviting Him into your daily life, into everything you’re doing. So when your family is attacked, God rises up and intervenes on their behalf.
The author of the book What Happens When We Pray For Our Families writes this: “Our daughter-in-love Margie said to me recently, “I need to learn to pray and not worry. I have a tendency to work things out myself. Think them through and come up with my own answers. But God’s Word says it is prayer that works.””
I encourage you to lean on God in prayer. He knows your situation and can intervene in the perfect way. From small day-to-day worries to great, devastating tragedies, your prayer causes the almighty and ever-present God of the universe to intervene. He is eager and even anxious to use His divine power in your family members’ lives.

Lord I pray for restoration and peace in our family’s lives,we have tried to do our best when it’s you we need lord,not us to overcome problems caused by a close family member who abused some of our children,we have seen heartbreak and strife,and still lots of pain and destruction from the devil,lord I cry out to you ,and ask help us lord,we know you are an amazing God,and anything is possible with you.Amen
I recently started having a burden for a family member. And God opened my eyes that i also needed to forgive this person. Sometimes we don’t know why we carry a burden for our family. But God knows our needs before we ask. I forgave the person and now can pray differently for them. God will guide us and i am thankful and so blessed to serve a almighty God. I thank him for all of you in this ministry and i am praying for you too.

Please pray for my husband Steven Lee Miller and myself Brenda Patricia Miller we’ve been arguing and we are separated he left the house for the second time. I’m not going to say his faults but I will say that I was guilty of yelling at him even bringing up divorce and not being able to choose between him and my son. I was just cruel to him Non-Stop but I know I’ve been forgiven through Christ our Lord. God is in the restoration relationships and I pray that he brings us back together again . I don’t want to live a life of loneliness even though, I have my older kids but they have their own life to live . I believe in the word of God that He will keep His promise and I encourage everybody to stay faithful in His word. I know it’s sometimes hard because I am one of them, to be truly faithful and stay in the word when something that seems hopeless and hard. But I know God loves us , and I reclaim this in Jesus name

Dear Lord, I lift up all families who are being challenged, no matter what the challenge, hear our prayers, forgive our sins and the sins of those who hurt us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil we pray. You are a miracle working God and we trust you in Jesus name. Amen.
