How do you set the right priorities?

Setting the right priorities is one of the greatest challenges of this century. It’s also a challenge for me, and I often pray about it. Everything and everyone is always calling for our help, time, and attention, and it can be a bit unsettling. So, today, I’d like to share with you something key to help you set your priorities…
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, our Lord said this: “…Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” 

I believe that this passage is a key for your life. May God’s will be done, my friend, in your life, (on earth) as it is in heaven. The key is seeking the fulfillment of God’s will.

Jesus did nothing that He didn’t first see His Father do… He acted in perfect obedience. (the Bible, John 8:28)

To “prove” your priorities based on Jesus’s example on earth, I invite you to answer these three questions:

• Are my priorities in alignment with the Word of God?
• Do they glorify the name of the Lord? (see the Bible, John 17:4)
• Am I sure that they are the Father’s will for me? (see the Bible, John 4:34)

Seek God’s will first. Seek His face, as the Bible recommends (1 Chronicles 16:11), and set your priorities in agreement with what He tells you. In this way, they will always be “right” because they’ll be in full agreement with the will of God!
