Internal noise is the subconscious, unresolved issues and hurts crying out for solutions and resolutions. We were all designed by God to have clean hearts and minds at peace.

Is your mind at peace? Are you at peace with God, yourself and others?

The Bible says, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7, NIV)

My point today is that internal noise can be resolved if we spend a little time every day forgiving, confronting, journaling and praying through issues. Denial and repression are vicious enemies of personal peace. The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6, NIV)

You can cherish your alone moments if you can resolve issues on a consistent basis. Paul says, “…Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,” (Ephesians 4:26, NIV). 

In other words, process your issues before the sun goes down.

I spent the first 21 years of my life stuffing the hurt and anger I felt towards my dad. I didn’t have the tools to process any of it. Eventually, it came out in violence in ice hockey, addictions and depression. I was a mess because of the internal noise in my soul. 

Through the Spirit, counseling, prayer, reading and discipleship, I started to get rid of the hurt and pain. I rejected the lies I had been telling myself. I forgave my dad, others and myself. I memorized Bible verses that affirmed me. God helped me in my alone times to quiet the lies and dwell in His love.

God will do the same for you. Please don’t spend your life listening to the internal interference. Shift your focus to “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8, NIV)

Because you’re a miracle.

    Thank you Paul for today’s words I will follow them this week. Have had a lot of anxiety for the past months. With family our youngest hooked on meth and is now in jail. My brother having to go through medical procedure on this coming Tues and my wife worries for our son.

    Our family needs prayer. There are three people that have a evil agenda and are hurting my mother in law. She is in a care facility and her mental capacity is slipping . My husbands sister, his daughter and son in law are telling lies about us ( my husband is the trustee of his moms living will) They are upsetting her by telling her things that aren’t true and until his sister goes back to Denver where she lives we can’t go talk to his mom. We are being very transparent with all that we are doing and following through with what she wants. Please pray that the truth will come out and that we will not have to declare his mom unfit to make decisions if they try to get her to change things over to his sister . I believe that they are trying to get control of her estate. My husband has been close to his sister until just recently and his daughter has been pretty hard to deal with for quite a while. Looks like she has wrapped her aunt around her finger and turned her against us. And now has pulled my husbands older son into it. I am very sad and just want it all to stop. They are coming at us in hate and I just don’t understand it. Please please pray for the people that need to hear the truth will hear it and that we can protect her from all this. I need God to bring peace

    This is so true and I know it’s God talking to me. I’ve been praying for my brain, body and thoughts and taking communion. His thoughts I will only except. I reject all thoughts that doesn’t line up with His Word. Healing is a process. I can and will do all things through Christ who loves me!
