“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (the Bible, Galatians 2:20, NLT)
Where there is life, there is action. So, when the Word of God affirms that it’s no longer you who lives but Christ in you, that means that all of Jesus’ characteristics are alive and active in you!
His intelligence, His peace, His gentleness, His humility…are inside of you.
A dynamic exchange occurs between the Lord and you, between His heart and yours. Thus, you receive…
- His joy instead of sadness,
- His comfort instead of distress,
- His life in all that you do.
His life is seen, felt, and heard everywhere you go and in everything you do!
I invite you to declare with me today…“Lord, I declare that my real life is hidden in You! You’re the reason I live, move, and have my being. Lord, thank You for nailing my old self to Your cross and for dying so that I could live a brand new life through You. I believe that You’ve given me all of Your characteristics, and that people will see and experience You, Jesus, in and through my life! In the powerful name of Jesus, amen.”
This is one of the most powerful and enlightening text I have read from you. Thank you for the lesson. May it guide me and others every day of our lives.
