Listen, encourage, love

“The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.” (the Bible, Isaiah 50:4, NLT)

God is putting His Word in your mouth so that you can speak a word in season to those whose souls are saddened and weary. Fitly spoken words that are “like apples of gold in settings of silver” (according to the Bible, Proverbs 25:11, NKJV). In order to receive these precious words that have the power to encourage, lift up, and strengthen, you have to first listen to…His voice.

The Holy Spirit desires to teach you how to discern the Father’s voice…so that out of a thousand voices, you can recognize His voice, listen to it, and share this manna all around you!

That’s why, when the morning comes and you’re peacefully in the presence of God, sharing your experiences, hopes, and perhaps your difficulties with Him…also take the time to listen to Him. Stop for a moment, and listen carefully. You will hear the Father, His voice, His heart. He’ll tell you that He loves you, of course…but He will also speak to you about your neighbor, your sister, your boss, someone at work…

• He will pour out His love in your heart for them.
• He will fill you with compassion.
• He’ll allow you to see them through His eyes!

The Father’s encouragement for this world is in your mouth! He wants to use you to heal, restore, encourage, and proclaim life!
