See yourself in His divine mirror

I imagine that before leaving your house today, you’ll glance in the mirror in order to make sure everything’s “ok.” May I ask you a question… one for your inner being… what mirror are you using?

I’d like to share the testimony of Pascaline from the island of Réunion with you today. She writes, “I suffered for a long time from rejection and always saw myself as incapable. Today, I’m learning to see myself in God’s mirror, to prevail in victory over my failures, to realize that my God is for me and with me. That each day, He is the rock upon which I build my life, my fortress, and my shelter.”

I believe, as Pascaline realized, that it’s so important to look at yourself in God’s mirror. And why? Because His mirror, the mirror of His Word, is just, spot-on accurate, and precise. It is not a mirror that distorts, warps, or magnifies. It is the truth. (see the Bible, John 17:17)

God desires to teach you, uphold you, help you find your bearings, guide you through His Word. I encourage you to read the Bible regularly and write down what you receive from God. “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.” (the Bible, Psalm 119:9)

Would you like to pray with me in response to this?… “Lord, thank You for Your Word that is an accurate mirror. Teach me to see myself through Your eyes, and help me to understand Your Word, to comprehend what You desire to teach me through it. And give me the strength to put it into practice so that I lead the life You have planned in advance for me! All glory and honor to Your name! In Jesus’s name, amen.”
