Spending time with Jesus will transform you!

When you spend time in Gods presence, you allow the Holy Spirit to mold you into the image of Jesuss likeness!”

Most of us, at some point in our lives, have baked or helped bake a cake. You start by making the batter, then you put the cake in the oven. But before that, you have to put the batter into a baking pan.

The unbaked batter has no specific shape. It doesn’t have the shape of a cake… it’s liquid, malleable. It takes the shape of the baking pan that you choose. If the pan is round, the cake will be round. If the pan is square, the cake will be as well! The batter adapts to the pan.

It’s the same with your life! When you spend time in God’s presence, you allow His Spirit to do His work and imprint Jesus’s character within you. (see the Bible, John 14:26). God’s presence becomes a bit like this baking pan, shaping and transforming you.

So, as you can see, you’re like the batter… that’s why it’s so important that the “first” baking pan, where you spend time, be your Heavenly Father’s presence! God isn’t going to destroy everything that you are. God is going to shape you, respecting your unique personality.

And just like the baking cake expands and grows until it’s golden brown, God’s presence acts like a growth accelerator in your life. You will go from victory to victory and even glory to glory, like the Bible says! (see 2 Corinthians 3:18)

Be blessed and encouraged as you go about your day today!

I’m asking for prayer. Tomorrow my Yorkie poo, Cocoa, and I are leaving for Nashville and then flying to Canada (Thursday morning) to see my sister and her family. I know Jesus will take care of us. He always does. We’ll be flying back March 31st. Should be home sometime on Easter.
