Step into the story…

Today, we’re continuing our series called “Praying For Israel,” co-written by my friend, Heather Johnston of JH Israel.

I love the movie Pride and Prejudice, one of the best romance movies of all times. I can watch it over and over because I love the dance of love played out on the big screen. But no matter how many times I watch it, I always want to see the very end. The entire story isn’t complete without the ending. The culmination of all the chaos crescendos until the love story is complete – the hero and heroine become husband and wife!

God has invited us into the greatest love story of all time, written by God Himself: the love of God for the nation and people of Israel. Who would want to miss this? The story of the almighty God for a nation and people – and a most unlikely people – making the story even better. God never stops loving them, no matter how impossible the storyline may seem at times!

The best part is that you have a role in the script that will be vacant without you! God needs you to play a role only you can play that will bring about the completion of this love story.

Isn’t it incredible that we’re part of this love story? God has invited us to be in the story with Him. He needs us to step into the story by opening our hearts and letting Him pour in His love for Israel and her people. God will move you to pray! You will begin to think His thoughts for His beloved. He will hearken your heart to step in and pray in a way that only you can. Seeing the movie finale brings happiness for a moment; however, the ending of God’s love story is eternal joy. Jesus is returning for His bride, and the celebration will never end!

Let’s pray together!…“Lord, I pray for You to show me how to step into the love story of the world. I believe I was created and called to a part in this story…a place only I can fill! Please use me to help bring the love story to completion. Direct my steps and show me my place on the walls of Jerusalem! Thank you, Lord. In Your name, amen.”
