The devil’s tactic…

If your computer has ever been infected by a virus, you know that it’s not always easy to protect your computer! These viruses spread from computer to computer, just like human viruses spread from person to person.

The devil’s tactic, to rephrase C.S. Lewis, is to develop viruses. For thousands of years, the devil has been manufacturing viruses in his laboratories to infect and destroy God’s people. Here are two, amongst others:

  • The virus of condemnation: the devil, knowing that he himself is condemned, seeks to condemn (punish, oppress) and drag others into condemnation by making them forget this powerful truth that’s found in the Bible in Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
  • The virus of accusation: in the Bible, the devil is called the accuser of the brethren.” He is the master of the art of spreading this virus through rumors, gossip, slander… hoping that the infected person will then contaminate others.

The best way to fight these malicious viruses is to be filled with the absolute antidote: the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit never catches viruses, and even more, He guards our hearts and minds in Jesus.

I invite you to pray with me… Holy Spirit, thank You for Your presence in me. You are my protector and comforter. Come and flood me with Your joy and peace. I choose to believe in the truth of Jesus my Savior, who has freed me from all condemnation and saves me from all accusation! In Your name, amen.”

I enjoyed today’s reading. Sometime we forget we get so caught up in life until we start thinking without praying, and feeling inadequate. Just feeling like this thing is bigger than us at times can literally wipe us out. How ever Rom8:1 Tells us there is no condemnation in us to those that in Christ and do not walk according to the flesh. Good word I’m embellished. thank you Lord.
