Do you want to be kind, benevolent, do good to others? Or would you like to learn how to do so?

Let’s take a quick look at the etymology of this word. The word “benevolent” comes from the Latin bene volens,” which means to voluntarily wish well.” Benevolence, kindness, is having the desire to do good to others… being willingly intentional in doing good, blessing, encouraging others and our society.

My friend Pastor Stève Rivière shared with me one day that some Christians had it in their hearts to send a letter to their policemen, saying, Thank you for what youre doingand We appreciate you.” It strongly spoke to, even touched, the chief of police. He didn’t understand this demonstration of love for… policemen! He said, Were insulted every day. People encouraging us like you didthat never happens.” Especially in the context of our society…

The Bible says, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth,” (Ephesians 5:9)

It’s good works that speak, that make the difference. And it’s something each one of us can do! You’re called to be a vessel of blessing. Don’t hesitate to seize the opportunities, to be intentionally kind today!

What can you do today?

  • Touch others like God does… with love and respect
  • Speak like God speaks… with simplicity and power
  • Walk like God walks… with strength and assurance
  • Love like God loves… unconditionally and without limits

Is this humanly impossible? Absolutely! But with the Holy Spirit, it’s possible. He is filling you, guiding you, speaking to you, and leading you where there’s a need.

And here’s the divine overflow: as we do good to others, we enter in to our own destinies…!

Let’s rejoice as we listen to this classic worship song reminding us of the Lord’s wondrous kindness toward us.

? Why would Jesus say. “I don’t know you” when you pray and go to church an do your best to be a Christian

It means we must know Him personally, be in relationship with Him all during our day and totally surrendering our lives to Him to do His will, not our own. Some people just go to a church out of a duty. If you love Jesus, you love God the Father, You want to go to worship and hear His Word with other believers. God is a relational God. Just like we need healthy Christian relationships and encouragement, He wants us to want to spend time with Him and pray with Him, not out of duty but because we truly love Him.???
