The Lord is holding you up

Have you ever been with a child taking his/her first steps? If so, you certainly wanted to avoid bruises, bumps, and skinned knees at all costs, right?

One “A Miracle Every Day” reader shared this with me: “Impatient for God’s plan for me, I have the impression that He’ll never get me out of where I am, despite my perseverance in prayer. I’m constantly lost and feel alone.”

God is reassuring you today with this scripture: “I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.” (read the Bible, Psalm 94:18, NLT)

At first, it’s rare for parents to let their child fall alone, as he’s stumbling on his still fragile and faltering little legs. They stay there, close to him, and as soon as he’s about to fall, they’re ready to catch him. The baby can thus discover this new world in complete safety, knowing that the hand that firmly holds him will prevent him from hurting himself.

God, your Father, surrounds you with the same attention with infinite patience. Like a good father, He takes hold of you when you risk going too far and you’re about to stumble. Rely on His strong and powerful hand.

Even if you fall to the ground or hurt yourself along the way, He will lift you up, comfort you, tenderly take care of you, and show you the right way.

That’s why you can keep going forward safely: move forward without fear in the plan God has for you, because you know that your perfect Father is watching over you with lovingkindness. He’s always in the right place at the right time, ready to catch you if He sees a fall coming!

I invite you to pray with me if you’d like…“Father, thank You for so attentively watching over me, for keeping me from falling. And even when I fall, You pick me up, You restore me. I praise You for Your love. In Jesus’s name, amen.”

I was brought to tears while listening to this message, the reader you mentioned said just how I was feeling, I often feel lost and alone and sacred because of my situation, wondering how will I ever come to the other side.

Your message came as a message from God Himself. I will continue to wait on Him and trust Him.

You all be blessed and favoured from the Almighty God in Jesus’ name. Amen
