Turn toward the One who can do all things!

“But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth.’” (the Bible, Genesis 14:22, NKJV)

To whom do you turn when everything doesn’t unfold like you had hoped? Whom do you speak with first? Sometimes our first instinct is to call up a friend, but is this really the best choice?

It isn’t wrong to confide in someone you can trust. On the other hand, it’s even better to turn to God first…because He knows everything and can do all things!

As His Word says in the Amplified version, “And He put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church” (Ephesians 1:22).

The Lord desires to have the first place in your life.

Proclaim with me: “Lord, I raise my hands to You. You are the Almighty God who made the heavens and the earth! Jesus, everything is under Your authority. I believe that You can do all things, and I choose to put You in the first place in my life! In Your name, amen.”
