Why are your thoughts so important?

The Word of God is extraordinary. Irreplaceable. It’s an infinite source of wisdom and counsel, each Scripture more precious than the last for anyone who wants to lead a life pleasing to the Father. I would like to share a truth with you that especially touches me.

God blesses me greatly by inspiring me with innovative ideas to change the lives of people around me. As He did 18 years ago, when He gave me the idea to evangelize through the Internet.

However, I believe that if my wife and I had entertained thoughts of failure and impossibility, this beautiful work of TopChrétien and Jesus.net would never have seen the light of day… in any case, not with Muriel and me!

Our acts are determined by our thoughts. What we meditate on throughout our days will ultimately come to pass.

I think that this is why the Word of God says, Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthymeditate on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

God cares about our inner lives, what we mull over and dwell on in our hearts…because what we’re meditating on determines where we go.

The Bible also says in Proverbs 23:7, For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”  When we are aware of this truth, it gives new perspective to the way we live and make decisions.

I would like to invite you this morning to take time with God, allowing Him to search your heart. May He reveal to you, by His Word, the thoughts that do not glorify Him and instead are likely to lead you out of His plan for your life. May He place His desires and thoughts within you!

This is my prayer for you. I am with you with all my heart!
