Why pray in agreement with His will?

Like me, have you ever addressed “automatic” prayers to God that, maybe out of disappointment or habit, are no longer filled with expectation?

Jesus declares, ““And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”” (the Bible, Luke 11:9-10, NLT)

God is a Father who delights in blessing His children, in the big as well as little things.

Remember: Jesus is interceding for you, and the Father’s heart fills with joy when we communicate with His Son concerning our needs and the needs of those around us. This is how we become stewards of the Earth with God, as He has asked of us since the beginning of creation.

That’s why you shouldn’t be afraid of honestly and genuinely talking with God about your feelings. Like Jesus in Gethsemane, you can express your anguish to Him, and even your inability to understand His plans for you. He won’t be offended. But because you’re placing your faith in Him, despite it all, you’ll be able to gratefully receive all that your Father offers you.

He won’t say yes to everything we ask Him. But, as we dedicate ourselves to prayer, our desires will become conformed to the Father’s heart.

What God has in mind is the best for you. Today, truly share your feelings with Him. His heart is thrilled at the thought of taking an active part in your life!
