You are created in God’s image… as are they!

In Genesis 1:26, we read that man was created “in the image of God.”

Ask yourself this question: if my neighbor was, as I am, created in God’s image, how can I not love him/her? In fact, how can I say that I love God if I don’t love my neighbor? (see the Bible, 1 John 4:20)

Jesus became flesh to be a man amongst men. He walked upon this Earth, His feet treading our soil. He experienced temptation. He had a living relationship with the men surrounding Him. He saw their weaknesses and failures and yet, He loved them… unto death.

Jesus is the ultimate model! Make Him your example… even when someone’s attitude totally rubs you wrong, love! It’s what Jesus did for you and for me!

My friend, when you see that person who is simply not kind or complains without end, that screaming child at the park… remember that they were created in the image of God. Respect these people, esteem them, and love them.
