I love summer, the sun, the warmth…much more than the cold of winter, needless to say!

Yet, I’ve learned to recognize the benefits of this special time: the brilliant white snow, the blazing fires in fireplaces, and, of course, the festive Christmas season.

In the same way, I’m learning to appreciate the “colder” seasons of my life, these seasons where the wait is long and God’s silence is heavy…

These times are beneficial in your life too. Do you know why? As this month ends and December begins, I encourage you to see trials as allies and not as enemies because they teach you to:

  • Look at Jesus,
  • Hold on to Him,
  • Wait on Him in expectation,
  • And turn your eyes away from the circumstances…

In order to focus on a higher perspective than your circumstances. The Word of God expresses it so well in Ecclesiastes: “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NKJV)

Yes, it’s true that this winter cold may seem unpleasant, even grueling and painful. However, it’s not only beneficial…it’s necessary. In fact, God created the seasons to give rhythm to time and allow the Earth to “breathe” between each of them. Winter also allows nature as a whole to go through a “dead time,” when it rests. Before it produces flowers, fruit, and new birth again…

In the same way, God is calling you to live this winter season in rest, with the confident and peaceful expectation that after winter, spring and summer will come, accompanied by their fruits. God is the master of time, the master of seasons. He knows what’s best for you. Wait patiently for spring, when you’ll again bear fruit in God’s time.

Would you like to pray with me right now? “Lord, thank You for encouraging me today. I believe that this “dead time” when You’re inviting me to rest is necessary so that I can bear new and abundant fruit, through Your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

I believe that today, God wants to teach you to love winter as much as the other seasons of your life.

Have a wonderful day in the presence of the Master of time!

The title of today’s message gave me so much of hope. The entire post spoke to me. I cried reading it, as it was the message in time of my “winter”.

I surrender to God’s will this time of my “winter”, to do in me the work that will bring for fruit. I do want to bear fruit again. I want to sing to the Lord the love songs again.

I am always amazed at how God has been carrying mr through your messages each day since 2018.

I pray that God will strengthen you as well in your times of “winter” and may you bear fruits for Christ, even as you do. God’s love and protection be upon you, your family and team.

    With love in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful message. I felt every word of this prayer. I am going through a very difficult time right now, but I know everything happens for a reason and in time of trials like you said, I’ve learned to recognize the benefits of this special time. I don’t look at the circumstances, but instead I look at the cross where I find peace and love. I am patiently waiting for spring , when I will again bear fruits in GOD’s time.
    May GOD bless you always!!!
With love, your sister in Christ.
