Your God ordains you to be powerful!

In His Word, God speaks to Joshua in these terms: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (see Joshua 1:9)

Joshua was facing a great challenge: succeeding Moses, an incredibly patient man and exceptional leader. And Joshua’s mission? To bring the people of Israel into the Promised Land while facing dangerous enemies.

“Have I not commanded you?” the Lord says to Joshua. God gives this command to us as well… we don’t have to fear anything. No teenager going through a difficult time, no broken relationship, no demanding job, no mistake on our part, can prevent God from working… nothing can stop Him.

The Bible tells us, “For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalm 33:9)

What God promised will certainly come to pass, and what He commanded, no one can cancel! Indeed, what will prevent the accomplishment of what God has ordained? As this song says, “Who can stop the Lord Almighty?” We can trust in His sovereign power. Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb!

Do you have challenges? God is the One who can strengthen you…! He’s the One who can and wants to reinforce your faith and trust in Him concerning your future. And the good news is that He never is wrong in His plans.

Look with me at this example from Jeremiah’s life:

“Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.” (see the Bible, Jeremiah 1:4-8)

Today, declare aloud the promises of God for your life. He ordains, and it is done!
