You’re part of the body of Christ!

Maybe you’ve seen the movie Gladiator…If so, do you remember General Maximus’s motto, “Stay together! As one!”? The Roman army used a formidable military strategy to prevail: dividing and conquering. Jesus knew this war strategy well, and He used it as an example:

“Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”” (read the Bible, Matthew 12:25, NIV)

In fact, when one or more members are sick or unfaithful, the whole body is weakened. This is what John Bevere reminds us of in Killing Kryptonite. You and I are part of a living structure: the Church. God is the architect of this building, and He perfectly coordinates it!

The Church needs your contribution! God gave you His power and His character; He also bestowed gifts and talents upon you. For you, yes, but also and especially for others. You see, when you consecrate yourself to Him, those around you will benefit from your commitment, starting with your local church, and then outside of its walls.

Today, I’d like you to take a moment to reflect on the meaning of your life: “Am I impacting the world through my life? What’s stopping me, and how can I play my part?” Ask God to show you the place you should occupy in this body that He Himself is lovingly and patiently building.

From today onwards, I invite you to:

  • Offer yourself to God as a “living sacrifice,”
  • Give Him all of your daily activities as acts of worship,
  • Aspire to manifest Christ more powerfully.

Do you want to dedicate your entire life – work, family, finances, free time – to Him? Do you want to worship God all the days of your life, and not only on Sunday mornings?

God needs you to represent Him on Earth!
