    Dearest Eric,
I’ve been receiving your email since early last year and i can honestly say that it has helped me a lot to see my circumstance from the eyes of God. I have been battered emotionally by my husband’s paranoia and i have given up so many times. But through your faithful emails i receive everyday, i am so encouraged and saw the faithfulness of our Lord Jesus exactly where i am and realized how i am so loved and taken care of through the same circumstance. Thank you for not giving up on me. –

Dear Cynthia, I know what emotional battering feels like. Please consider ordering the following two books to see if you are in verbally/emotionally abusive relationship. Leslie Vernick is the Christian author & has suggestions on how to live from your core to gain inner strength.
The Emotionally Abusive Marriage- Leslie Vernick
The Verbally Abusive Relationship: How to Recognize It & How to Respond – Patricia Evans. She has more helpful books on her website, http://www.verbalabuse.com. Perhaps you are in this type relationship, maybe not. Read Vernick book 1st, it explains difference between just a disappointing marriage and an abusive one. Many pastors do not yet know how to help an abused person, especially a woman. The answer is not more submission to a hubby who does not lead benevolently. If you need it, there is also a private Facebook group- Confusion to Clarity, also Christian- based. Does yr hubby insult you, say things like, ” You are _____.” and fill in that blank with a derogatory word? If so, he’s trying to define you. Are your conversations confusing? Does he criticize almost everything you do? These are just a few of the signs of abusive behavior. I have placed you on my prayer list. My first name is Karen, I’m 70 years old, divorced. Perhaps you can find me on Confusion to Clarity, my initials are KBA and I live in Georgia, north of Atlanta. Blessings- may God hold you close to himself and keep you safe
