Be an encourager
Have you ever met someone who sticks out in a crowd for all the right reasons? I have, and her name is Diana. She is a reader of A Miracle Every Day, and she found me at a John Maxwell event to thank me for my writings. Wow! When was the last time you thanked someone for his/her books, leadership, or hard work?
I noticed a few interesting things about this amazing businesswoman who had recently retired. Diana wasn’t really retired! She was still adding value to everyone she met and was so grateful for A Miracle Every Day. Diana is a game-changer. Game changers are people who are grateful, kind, and encouraging. She added value to me and my buddy, Johnny, from Pittsburgh.
friend, grateful people are contagious. The Bible says that Barnabas added value to everyone he met: “They sent Barnabas to Antioch. When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.” (Acts 11:22-23, NIV) He was known as “Barnabas (which means ‘son of encouragement’)” (Acts 4:36, NIV).
Have you ever helped someone advance in his/her career? Have you ever helped a grieving soul or broken person? Have you ever thanked someone for making a difference in your life? I have.
How about you? Will you become the next Diana? Will you be generous with your words and love? I believe you will because God is helping you and you are a miracle!
