What kind of imprint do you make on others?
Do you love the outdoors? Have you ever gone camping or mountain climbing? I love wilderness adventures. Whether it’s skiing, biking, kayaking, or climbing a large mountain, I’m totally into it.
There are a few activities that tend to leave a mark, either on the landscape or on my body. Skipping stones on a quiet lake seems to be a favorite activity for many people I know. I’m not sure why because the mark left by the stone does not last long, but it does create ripples across the length or breadth of the lake. That’s a metaphor waiting to happen, isn’t it?
I love to be the first one down the ski slope after a fresh coat of snow blankets the terrain. I also adore the path my kayak leaves as it cuts through the crystal clear lake. Why? Maybe it’s because we all love to leave our marks, blaze a new trail, or do something that has a ripple effect in the world around us. I’m not really sure why, but I know that it’s real.
The Bible says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10, NKJV) My mentor wrote a book entitled Invisible Imprint: What Others Feel When In Your Presence. I’m including a free chapter to inspire you in a greater way.
Although Dr. Dobbins is already in heaven, I still feel his imprint in my life. I miss him terribly. There is a hole in my soul since his departure. I guess you might say he left a mark in me, and now it’s evident.
friend, who has left a mark in your life? Whom have you impacted in a significant way in the past few years? Could it be that Jesus Christ wants to make a bigger splash in you and through you? I believe it because you are a miracle.
