A Miracle Named…..YOU!

My dear friend,

If you have been following along with me over the past seven days, you have heard me speak of a group of treasured friends and mentors who have been miracles in my life. There was:

• John, the trusted friend and mentor who worked for me for one dollar a year!

• Bob, the servant who changed a country in the name of Jesus.

• Virginia, the prayer warrior who would not take “no” for an answer.

• Brian, the protective friend who watched over me and my family.

• Terry, the miraculous survivor who paid his miracle forward into the lives of many.

• Jim, was the gentle pastor who taught more by example than words.

Each of them is the embodiment of these words from the Bible:

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” (Proverbs 15:22, NIV)

“For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.” (Proverbs 11:14, NIV)

“Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers.” (Proverbs 24:6, NIV)

The interesting thing about these verses is that they were written by Solomon – the wisest man the world has ever known! Even a man with profound wisdom knew the beauty of having a group of trusted mentors that would always point you back towards God!

God has given you both the miracle of wisdom and experience. How could you use those gifts today and become the miraculous gift God intended you to be – both for yourself and for them!!!

I believe God has placed you here today to be a miraculous gift for someone else. Just like each of my friends profoundly impacted my life, you can do the same for someone God has placed in your life! You may feel like you have nothing to offer, but that’s not true! You are a gift and God will use you if you make yourself available.

It may surprise you, but each of my friends was shocked when I told them about their impact on my life. They all felt uniquely unqualified, and that very humility is what God used to change my life. I pray that you will step out today and make an impact on someone’s life. God can use you today!

As we close this week, I would love to pray with you and over you.

Jesus, I thank you for my friends and family at A Miracle Every Day. I pray that you would use them to miraculously meet a need in someone’s life today! I pray that they will give thanks for every person you have placed in their life who has impacted them. I pray that they will never overlook the miracle of your provision as you continuously provide us with encouragement and love through the people around us. I pray all of these things in Jesus’ name! Amen.
