Are you afraid of people?

I just saw a posting of a young woman standing on a big stage with a bouquet of flowers and an award, smiling at the camera!

Wait a minute, wasn’t that the same young woman who had recently been in a seminar with me? The woman who actually suffers from a huge social phobia? Wooooow! Something WONDERFUL must have happened!

You know those fears you suddenly develop when it comes to presenting something in front of people? I do… and you’ll probably find that hard to believe now, because I’m on stages so often. But for me, it’s mainly the smaller stages that scare me.

Like when I recently had to speak to about 30 students. Every day for five days! Although the last time had been so incredibly blessed, this time I thought, “I can’t do this. I don’t have that much to tell. I’m not a typical teacher. They’ll be bored for sure…”

The morning before leaving there, I was looking for encouragement from God, which I always recommend you to do in such moments. In fact, that day in my devotional book I read the following verse:

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” (John 14:26 ESV)

You need nothing more than the Holy Spirit!

Humbly come before the throne of God today to acknowledge and recognize that you need the work of the Holy Spirit in and through your life! Then just watch how many WONDERFUL things will happen through you!

I did this very thing when speaking to those 30 students, and the week turned out even more blessed than the last time I was there.

When we rise up with the Holy Spirit, even our fear will miraculously disappear.

You are a miracle!
