Fearless in 2021

Fear is one of the greatest obstacles to your future. I encourage you to fight it with everything you have. Consider it your own personal enemy and defeat it before you take your next step.

In 2 Timothy, the Apostle Paul exhorted his young protégé with these gripping words: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV) Can you imagine the context of these words? Paul and Timothy faced real death threats, ridicule, and rejection daily, but Paul knew that fear had no place in the lives of world changers. Paul knew that emotions are normal. But there are moments in time when emotions are overtaken by a spirit. And not just any spirit—a spirit of fear. Wow!

Have you ever felt fear or the spirit of fear? There’s a difference that can have lifelong repercussions.

I played competitive hockey in Canada, Europe, and the U.S. I started at the age of two and played at a serious level until I was 22. It was quite a ride. It was fun, violent, terrifying, and exhilarating all at the same time. I remember facing players twice my size whose intent was to smash my teeth out and knock me unconscious. They almost succeeded. Off the rink, I was a kind, fun-loving kid, but on the ice, I was forced to adopt a different persona. My dad used to say, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall” and “fear is normal, Paul. Never back down.” B.A. Goulet was a tough hockey player, a special forces warrior who jumped out of airplanes and fought behind enemy lines. My dad was the real deal, and I wanted to please him. But deep in my heart, I was afraid.

Have you ever struggled with a fear that made you sick and paralyzed you? I’m not afraid to admit I have, and I was forced to conquer it. 2020 has been rough, and I’m convinced that we must depend on God to fight our way out of it. He will help us be strong, courageous, and victorious!

Will you fight your way to victory through Christ or be paralyzed by fear? Choose courage because you are a miracle.

I dont think it’s a coincidence that God says in the Bible “do not fear” 365 times. A reminder for each day. There are some pretty scary moments that in that last few years I have lived through and Satan reminds me of them all the time so that I can be afraid and anxious. I have gotten much better at rebuking him by reminding myself not to fear because God is with me. Thank you Paul Marc

With God we can over come any fear that the devil bring in our way. 2016 Was a terrible year for me and my family. I had been there where fear overtaken me and I couldn’t do anything. With prayer and the word of God I am fearless person now.
Thank God that I have overcome it all and now in Jesus name. Thanks Paul Marc

Ps 56:3-4 and 10-11 David says twice. I will not be afraid. Why was he able to make such a bold confession? He says, in God I trust.
When the storm comes we often wonder if God cares and like his disciples we ask – don’t you care? (Mk 4:38) David’s proclamation is simple whenever I feel afraid I will trust God. I must – Stop accusing and start trusting.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9?

Instead of fearing of what you can’t control give it unto GOD. Pray for your Biden and his entire government GOD alone knows and has the final say. And also stop looking up to who is the president and who is not the president JESUS is the only king on whom we should look upto not human beings

    Hi Paul.
Thank you for this message. I struggle with fear to talk to people or do/say what the Holy Spirit put on my heart because I fear that I be rejected. My prayer this year is that God give me courage to say/do what he puts in my heart. Your message today reminded me of this.
