God Prompts Us to Act

Acts 1:8 says "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8, NIV). This verse highlights that the Holy Spirit desires to enter your life, and this will equip you with His unlimited power, enabling you to experience something wonderful.

friend: You are destined for more than mere survival. You are meant to experience the Holy Spirit and share it with others!

I do not create music just for the sake of it. Prior to every performance, I pray, "Holy Spirit, work through me!" Sometimes, I find myself crying during this prayer, and then I realize that the Holy Spirit is present, and something incredible is about to happen. I am unsure why the Holy Spirit reveals himself through my tears, but it feels right at that moment. friend, this is how the Holy Spirit makes his presence known to me.

During one of my performances, I felt the Holy Spirit reveal to me, "Déborah, women have been abused here. Ask them to stand up." I hesitated, thinking that it was not appropriate to ask such a question. However, I mustered the courage to ask, and many women stood up. Thanks to this prompt, these amazing women were able to experience something wonderful, and they cried tears of joy because of the inner healing they felt.

friend, that day, the Holy Spirit worked in the following order: I invited the Holy Spirit into my life—to work through my life, and with His power, I spoke out, and then He accomplished something marvelous beyond what I could have imagined.

It is that simple with the Holy Spirit, and it is a wonderful relationship when we allow Him to prompt us to act.
