Have you told anyone about this?
Can I challenge you today?
We love it when we pray and God responds to us. We love it when we're somewhere and suddenly feel that God is near us. We simply love it when God "shows" Himself to us personally.
And here's my challenging question for you:Do you want to experience God only for yourself, or share your faith with others too?
We find an equally challenging verse in 2 Timothy: "So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God." (2 Timothy 1:8 NIV)
I remember being invited to a celebrity's birthday party, which for me alone was a miracle. From the bottom of my heart, I prayed: "Thank you, Jesus, for opening this door for me!"
When I entered the room and the singer saw me, he promptly stopped the music, pointed at me, and asked directly, "Do you believe what you sing?"
friend, I had never seen this man before, but ironically, I had spoken with him on the phone two weeks prior. He had asked me to send him my music. Never in my life would I have thought that I would get to know him like this shortly afterward!
I had no choice but to speak about my faith in that moment, amidst people who all looked important and wealthy but carried so many questions, so much emptiness.
friend, they don't have to be celebrities, but I'm sure there are many people in your circle who are also searching for answers that you carry within you. And friend, we all have the task not only to experience our faith ourselves but also to pass it on.
It says: "Go... and preach the gospel to all creation!" (Mark 16:15 NIV).
And friend, you can trust that you will experience what the disciples were privileged to experience: "Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it." (Mark 16:20 NIV)
Be brave, friend, and look forward to a day full of WONDERful encounters!
You are a miracle!
