Hello. Thanks for joining me on this last day of this journey in which we have learned how to be filled with hope so that we can be hopeful! Over the past six days, we have filled our mouths with hopeful words, filled our schedules with margin so that we can welcome God’s divine interruptions, filled our thoughts with focus so that we can think about things from above, filled our lungs with the breath of God and filled our tables with the testimony and connection of God’s people. I pray that each of these practical choices has filled your heart with hope and that you are becoming more and more hopeFULL!

When I am struggling to stay hopeful, I have to go back before I can move forward. When hope seems lost, I have to go back to God’s promises so I can move forward with a hopeful heart.

One of my favorite promises from God is from Ephesians 3:20-21. This beautiful “doxology” or “closing praise statement” says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NIV)

That first sentence has become a promise that I cling to in the face of a crumbling world. Now to Him, who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine! God can do more than we can ask or even imagine! When I read stories about the wars in Ukraine, Israel and countless other places around the world, I am tempted to feel hopeless. But, as I hope for peace, God reminds me that He can do more than I can ask or even imagine. 

When I begin to feel hopeless that God will do a miracle and give my wife her sight back, God reminds me that HE can do more than I can ask or even imagine. When I feel hopeless that the words of a daily email can bring value to, Jesus reminds me that He can do more than I can ask or even imagine. And, when my hope is dimming and life seems to be moving from struggle to struggle, God reminds me that one day this will happen: 

“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’  He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ “Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” (Revelation 21:3-5, NIV)

My friend, Jesus is hope. As you fill your mouth, day, focus, mind, lungs, tables and heart with God’s plan to be hopeful, I pray that you will overflow with the glorious hope of Jesus.

With great hope I remind you…

    I woke up this morning telling God I was going to get my new life application study bible and read verses on hope and faith. So many little mishaps that needed my attention today stopped me from actually reading my Bible, I carried it from room to room where I went I said after this I’m going to read . Unfortunately again I was distracted by evil that was directed at me by a person I had trusted for several years and that turned into crying, anger , hurt and pain. I came in to my room and said I will read tomorrow and then I opened my email from a miracle every day and received your message that clearly was everything I was looking for today. I thank God for you and the daily e mails
    that always give me what I need. I have hope in the Lord and faith to know that it will be done and I will take what he gives us in his timing and only his will.
    God bless you and your wife Grant. I have prayed for her in the past and will continue to pray for her sight to return in Jesus name
    His kingdom come his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. ????????♥️

      Unfortunately, Diana, you are not alone. I too carry my Bible from room to room never making progress. I have trouble with comprehension. I had a few strokes, but I am determined to start reading. We can do it.

    This is exactly what I needed to read today. Sadly, I only signed up yesterday with today being the first day to receive this.

    Please tell me how I can review the last 5 days of this amazing daily devotional and journey I’ve missed.

    Just your outline today has helped to restore my hope when my business is failing and on the cusp of losing everything. My wife and kids welfare depend on me. I am doing all I can to provide. God has shown me miracles in the last 4 years, but it seems they have dried up in recent months. I am fighting to keep my hope alive.

    I will print today’s scripture to place on my bathroom mirror. Thank you for obeying your call and providing this message today. Never doubt the impact of your efforts. The treasures you are storing in heaven are incredibly more than you can imagine.

    Thank you once again Grant! I guess we’re all going through something but I would like to say thank you again for transparency. My prayers go out for your wife. First of all, I love your emails as they really encourage me a lot. As you said, one day our prayers and whatever we are all hoping for will definitely come to past in JESUS NAME ???? ????????. We just have to keep holding on to our faith!
