Do you sometimes feel, especially in the morning, that you can’t find peace and don’t know what to start praying about? I certainly have.
A glance at the clock tells you it’s high time to go, but when you glance into your heart, you know you won’t make it today without God. If you’ve ever felt this way, I invite you to pray this prayer with me today…
“Jesus, I place this day into Your hands. Even though I don’t know what today will bring, I firmly believe that You are a faithful God who means well with me.
Thank You that You’ll be with me today and that I don’t have to be afraid, or even stressed, about anything. May I experience Your nearness and Your work clearly. I believe that I will see Your protection and blessing today! And all because You love me, because You are good to me.
To put it in David’s words, ‘Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him.’ (Psalm 62:5, NIV)
I pray I experience that rest today. I ask that You help me see how You’re giving me new hope, joy, and strength. Show me today what a blessing it is to trust You, because I do, Lord.
I surrender everything that could trouble me today—all my fears, my worries and doubts—into Your hands. For You have not given me a spirit of fear, but Your Spirit fills me with power, love, and a sound mind.
That is what I want to experience today! Holy Spirit, I ask You to be very active in and through me today!
Thank You that in You, Jesus, I have everything I could need for this day. I love You, and today I say: YOU are a miracle, Jesus! In Your name, amen.”

First, thank you, Deborah, for today’s message. I really do appreciate it; however, I find it very difficult to ask God for anything I believe that I need. Since I asked Jesus to forgive me and lead my life, I’ve heard God’s many “NOs!” I’ve asked God to help me keep my house – I’m living in my mom’s disgusting rat infested dump site with minimal resources for cleaning it up. It costs money to take things to the dump and fix things. Next, I begged God for more time with my dad – my dad died anyways. Than, I asked God to heal my left big toe – amputated. Then I asked God to heal my open wound – nope, had to go back in and remove part of my first metatarsal. Later, I asked God to heal my open wound, straighten my second toe, and heal my developed Charcot foot – guess what, my wound never healed, my second toe was amputated, and later, my left foot was amputated. How do I continue to ask God for anything? How do I believe that I have already received what I’ve asked for, especially as I sit here looking at my missing body parts, no dad, and no house? To be honest, I more than curse the day of my conception and the day of my birth. Please forgive if I can only thank God for what He hasn’t taken.
James if only you can hear other people’s challenges and troubles you will only give thanks to God who still gives you eyes to see, functioning brain that you can even express yourself, hand to type this message, mouth to eat, because some persons can’t feed through their mouth anymore, ear that you can hear others speak, and finally still have breath that you are still alive today, I can go on to say more things God is doing for you without knowing you and without you knowing that God is doing all this for you, my dearest friend, just believe and know that God has the ultimate plan for you, remember your complainant won’t move him because he is not a respecter of any man, he deals with you according to your ways. I hope this helps you.
