“My God turns my darkness into light…”

AMED 70.17-

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | “My God turns my darkness into light…”

Before I left, I’d made sure to check my weather app, which said it would be a sunny day in lovely Lugano in the Ticino region of Switzerland. I’d dressed accordingly for a meeting that day, but I was already freezing on the drive there. The sky was full of dark clouds, and it was no fun to be on the road like that. I thought to myself, “I should’ve stayed at home for the meeting. If it’s as cold there as it is here, what’s the point of me taking this long trip? It’s not worth it.”

On the route, you have to go through a tunnel, the famous Gotthard, and I can tell you, it’s a very long, dark tunnel that’s often jammed with traffic. I was glad when I eventually saw the “light at the end of the tunnel.” As soon as I drove out of the tunnel, the sun was beaming so brightly and unexpectedly that I started beaming, a grin all over my face! Wow, that was a beautiful moment. Yes, it was all worth it!

When I experience a dark tunnel in life, I often think back to how quickly the situation changed on that drive. I saw no light, and then, all of a sudden, sunlight burst upon me! It’s often the same in our lives—God may bring the answers we’re seeking unexpectedly, suddenly, and to our great surprise!

Yes, your light at the end of the tunnel could be just up ahead, even though you may not even be expecting it anymore. Could you begin to expect it again today? Earnestly hope and pray for your miracle! Don’t give up now. You may receive your miracle or answer unexpectedly, even in the blink of an eye!

Let’s pray together today…“Jesus, Your Word promises that ‘You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.’ (Psalm 18:28, NIV) I thank You, Jesus, that You will make my darkness light again. I’m believing and counting on it! In Your name, amen.”

The God of light is with you!

You are a miracle!

Deborah, what an inspiring and heartfelt message. I’ve been earnestly praying for my miracle or the answer to my prayer for 16 years, and this message touched me, that God can turn my darkness to light unexpectedly or suddenly and I am trusting him to do for me.

      Thank you Jesus. Amen.
