So many phrases become popular in different cultures. Even though English is spoken in many countries, each culture creates its own unique sayings, like “Hey mate, put some shrimp on the barbie”, “Mind the gap”, or “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
My wife and I became the legal guardians of two African boys who became like sons to us. They’ve been in our lives for fifteen years. We love them, and they love us. We’ve had a ton of fun teaching them American sayings, and they’ve tried to teach us African proverbs.
One sentence that’s popular in the U.S. is “That’s a million-dollar question.” As you all know, the million-dollar question is not just one question, and no one will actually give you a million dollars. Bummer!
The million-dollar question I want to answer is “Does God still heal sick, diseased or dead bodies today?” The answer is 100% YES! Many still don’t believe this. Many don’t believe it because their prayers for healing seemed to be unanswered. Maybe they were taught God never heals or He stopped healing after the first century.
As a counselor, I’ve heard all the arguments against divine healing. Although I respect each person’s journey and his/her religious doctrine, I believe in the healing power of Jesus for you, your family and your friends.
Why do I believe in healing? This is why:
- The Bible teaches it:
- “Then he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.’” (Luke 8:48, NIV)
- “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)
- “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.” (Acts 3:16, NIV)
- “And these signs will accompany those who believe:…they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17-18, NIV)
- I’ve seen people healed of cancer, strokes, heart attacks, raised from wheelchairs and raised from the dead.
- I’ve been healed from two strokes and many other challenges.

My body needs to be healed. I have chronic constipation and it is getting worse. Laxatives that I take often are barely working and sometimes dont. I’ve been dealing with this over 20 years. I know Hod wants me to be healed. I need prayer and more faith.

It is so funny that this is the message for today. I was jusr speaking to God about healing. God has healed me many times and in many ways. I’m alive solely because of him.
Today, I am struggling with a rare disease called Zollinger Ellison Syndrome. This disease developed in to some form of cancer. It amazes me how much a body can take. I have diabetes and Thyroid issues as well. All 3 do not play well together and it has been very difficult to get up out of the bed.
I need God to do something. I am his daughter too. There’s a reason for all this. Maybe reaching out here to you for prayer. I don’t know. I just need healing.
I am praying for stable employment and healing within my family.
My daughter is married to a woman and has been hurt by the reactions of people who are supposed to love her and do but don’t agree with her choices and I so desperately want her to come back to Jesus. My other daughter has been hurt also through all this and stands firm with her. They are both so hard to reach.
My niece battles with depression and such low days. She needs to be delivered from it and be filled with Joy of the spirit.

I have been receiving your emails for a number of months now and often find that they speak to my heart and encourage me daily. I have never commented before but today I have felt compelled to ask for prayer. In October 2019 my husband left me while I was pregnant with our first child. He is now with someone else and seeking a divorce. I ask for prayer that god will heal our marriage and restore my family. I believe he started a good work in my husband before the devil has gotten in and I believe in our family and marriage. I ask simply that you keep us in your prayers, that my husband returns to us by the grace of god and for his glory!
My grandson Bailey was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy Emery Dreifuss. He is 21 now and over the last 10 years has lost most of his muscles and mobility. I was praying for him early this morning to be healed this side of heaven. Also prayed for a Devine Appointment. Your message was the answer to this part of my prayer. Hello, I have been receiving your emails for a little over a year now. They’ve been countless times when the messages were what I needed at those moments in my life. Today, is one of those mornings where the word touched my heart. I’m currently dealing with pain in my right arm rotator cup. Back in 2015 my doctor discovered I had fibroids, which she removed the biggest one and left the small fibroid in my body. But, I believe God for total shalom in my body. In 2016 I became pregnant and the fibroid grew from the hormones my body produced. With God’s promises, His healing touch with His righteous right hand and uproot whatever causes my body to operate under it’s original design before the foundation’s of the world operating at 100%. Paul Marc I have an eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. I am slowly losing my eye sight and will be blind there is no cure. I ask for prayers for not only myself buy my 2 sisters and 1 brother that have it also. Please pray for a cure for all that have this sight stealing disease. Let God Heal Our Sight.

Im in need of physical, emotional, and mental healing. I was diagnosed with a disease almost 2 years ago and I’ve been waiting on my healing to manifest. I needed to hear this today and thank you! Will you please pray for myself and my husband. I have severe lower back pain from an old injury and my husband has severe hand pain. At times it is so bad I can not move and my husband can’t use his hands without pain. We adopted back in 2016 and are raising our 8 year old special needs grandson so we truly need our good health. He is the love of our lives and we need to be there for him always. He has a very rare chromosome deletion, moderate autism, learning delays, hand tremors and absence and atonic seizures as well as other syndroms due to his deletion so he absolutely needs us and we need him! I have a severe curvature of my spine due to Scoliosis, which makes it difficult to maintain mobility. I also have RA in my hands, which has become deformed, as well. Hi Paul Marc! I need healing for my left arm and leg. I need healing for my left index finger because it has hard black gangrene in it…it’s swollen and my left arm is swollen. I lost a lot of my hair due to a hair style I had. A so-called friend of mine did my hair and she added some hair to mine with gel a stocking cap and hair glue and a blow dryer. when I remove the hair she added a whole lot of my hair and my hair was still coming out 2 or 3 days later. I tried talking to the lady who did my hair and I sent her pictures twice and she has so non chalant about it. She thinks it was my medication did it but it didn’t. She hasn’t apologized or tried to make it right in any way. She’s a minister. I’ve always been so kind and good to her and respected her even if she wasn’t a minister I would’ve still been kind to her because I am a Christian myself. More than 70% of my hair is gone I believe! But she won’t respond at all to me. I have praying for these situations in my life! I’ve been praying for 20/20 vision and financial breakthroughs. I want go back to school and can’t get grants and I invention ideas and want to start Jesus’s Gospel Caspsules…a witnessing tool I believe GOD placed in my heart a few years ago. I want to dance fpr the LORD again. I need to completely heal from the 2 major surgeries and a major procedure done on my left arm and leg. I’ve been having a lot of pain too. I would really love a prayer for my husband. My husband suffered from addiction which lead him to do things he’s not proud of. He is now sober praise the Lord. Unfortunately his past doesn’t allow him to find stable employment. He has been working through agencies because that is the only way he can work temporarily but long term. He finally found a place he loves and unfortunately they let him go until he fixes the problem. I would love a prayer of strength and courage and for him not to lose hope, to not fall into depression because through the Lord all things are possible. I know that the Lord has plans for our lives and I pray that he understands that and that his past does not define who he is now! Also please pray that after he is cleared from his past mistakes that he can be made new again and from this point on the Lord helps him find stable employment where he can get hired and his past will be erased and no longer an obstacle in his life. Please pray for my brother-in-law. His name is Isac. He is already a God’s miracle, coz a few years ago he had three liver transplants due to Hepatitis C. But nowadays he has severe pain in one knee due to complications related to that illness and have tried in vain to convince a famous orthopedist to have a surgery on it. The surgeon told he is not healthy enough to go throughout that procedure.
