Are you ready, friend!
Oh man, I was stressed when I suddenly became ill before a big weekend where I planned to perform twice.
A stress between: "Others would now say, full of faith, that you will be better by the weekend, so you shouldn't cancel," and the reality: “I just feel too weak to go ahead with it."
Have you had those moments too, friend? Those times when you think that other Christians are much further ahead than you and they would react better, i.e. with much more faith, to the situation you are going through right now?
friend, may I remind you you shouldn't please people, but God? We keep forgetting that in everyday life.
How often do we ask ourselves, "Did I do it right? Did I say the right thing?" The really important and right questions would be: “Did I handle this correctly in God's eyes? Have I said what pleases Him?"
And friend, it's totally okay if you're going through a different growth process than others. It's totally okay if your health is better again, but you still need some time.
It's the same with faith. We all have different gifts, abilities and challenges in our spiritual lives and should not compare ourselves to others. Instead, we should focus on our own growth process and thank God for what He is doing in our lives.
“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.” (2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV)
And read this too:
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 NIV)
Make sure you don't stand in the way of the individual path that God walks with you!
Keep your gaze fixed on Him—not on people—and you will see how He will illuminate your path and bless you visibly for others!
You are a miracle!
