friend, do you love others and give it away?

Publication date Jul 23, 2020
Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of "A Miracle Every Day". I pray his message and audio will bless you today. -- The greatest evidence that you love yourself is your ability to give yourself away. Insecure people are not generous with their words or actions. Bitter people are not kind to others. Critical people are generally hard on themselves and on others. Loving yourself gives you the ability to give your life, love and possessions away.  Luke 6:38 says it so well: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38, NIV) Heidi Baker is one of my favorite people. She’s a little blonde-haired lady who felt a calling to Mozambique, Africa. After several years of frustration and failure, she was on the verge of burnout. Then the unexpected happened: she received the love of the Holy Spirit at a conference. She was so full that she wanted to try one more time. But this time, she felt so much love, purpose and peace that she just started pouring out love to everyone. Heidi often says, “Love looks like something”. Since her amazing encounter with the love of the Holy Spirit, she has started a huge feeding program, an orphanage and thousands of churches in this troubled nation.  friend, have you ever felt like a failure? Have you ever felt discouraged? Ever felt like giving up?  Would you dare to ask the Holy Spirit to fill you? Would you dare to start pouring love and yourself into others? I did not love myself as a young adult. My self-esteem was terrible until the love of the Spirit filled me. I started to serve others, give my possessions away and volunteer with Campus Crusade For Christ on our university campus. The more my focus shifted to helping others, the better I felt.  friend, if you’ll spend the rest of your life giving it all away, you will become a river and not a swamp.  You’re a miracle.
