Do you need more strength? 💪

Publication date Jun 27, 2020
Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of "A Miracle Every Day". I pray his message and audio will bless you today. -- Temptation presents a difficult challenge for everyone. Hebrews 4:15 tells us Jesus was even tempted in all things but did not fail. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15, NIV) friend, is it a surprise you and I are tempted on a daily basis? We’re tempted with:
  1. Overeating
  2. An outburst of anger or lying
  3. Gossip, envy and jealousy
  4. Greed and pride
  5. Storing unforgiveness
  6. The lust of the eye
  7. The lust of the flesh
Oh, the list goes on and on. Could you add a few personal ones to this list? How could Jesus resist all these temptations and yet never sin? The answer is clear—He had a divine power called “ischus”. This Greek is usually translated as power, but it means divine strength. Ischus power is the strength to resist and to keep fighting the good fight of faith. It is strength to do the right thing, even when it’s hard, and the strength to forgive the unforgivable actions of others. It is the strength to make it through the COVID-19 pandemic and the strength to rebuild your business or ministry. friend, do you need more strength? I do. During this pandemic, I had to face the closing of our churches, school, preschool and school of ministry. Our ministries worldwide were also crippled. We had to adapt, trim our budgets and move everything we do online.  I felt a level of stress I’ve rarely felt. I knew I was having trouble when I shouted out, “I’m quitting”. I even said it twice. I’ve never said that in 28 years of ministry. I was embarrassed. I felt weak and overwhelmed.  friend, have you ever felt this way? Are you feeling this way now? If you are, please remember the words of God in Isaiah 41:10: “‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”   You are a miracle. Paul Marc Goulet -- Thank you, Paul Marc, for sharing this today!
