Does your heart need healing, friend?
Have you ever had a serious cut? No matter your response, you definitely know that it’s important to thoroughly disinfect the wound to avoid infection.
We’ll all encounter situations that will anger us. Sometimes the circumstances are so intense that they cut like a knife. So we get disgruntled, frustrated. We brew over this anger. We indulge it. And as you know, what we feed eventually grows. In other words, if this anger isn’t addressed, it inevitably becomes infected.
Sometimes it can even erupt into violence...that’s why it’s so important to take care of the wounds and address the anger.
The Bible says, “For wrath kills a foolish man, and envy slays a simple one.” (Job 5:2, NKJV) And I know you’re not foolish, friend!
But if this is speaking to you, know that Christ is your hope! He died for you so that you could be truly free...including from anger.
Even in the midst of the terrible coronavirus situation, be sure to let the Lord release you from any anger, stress, and anxiety this may have caused in your life.
And if your heart is angry and wounded because of what others may have done to you, you can also intercede for them. God can do a miracle! I encourage you to listen to this song and the incredible story behind it, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again,” sung by Danny Gokey.
If you’d like, pray with me today…“Lord, I need You. Heal my heart from anger; purify my thoughts. Thank You for taking care of my life and my soul. Thank You for helping me intercede for those who have hurt me. Thank You for total healing! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
