Everything He has made is good!
The lion looked at the rhinoceros in disappointment and asked, "Why were there fish before us? Does God love them more than us? And why did man come last when God created the world? Aren't humans really important to God?"
friend, if you open the first page of the Bible and read about the dawn of creation, you won't find this story anywhere! None of the animals questioned the goodness of God's decisions regarding creation. But sometimes I think we do…particularly when it comes to ourselves personally.
Consider this: God first "let there be light" before we humans came into the world (see Genesis 1:3)—it seems very logical, doesn't it? I'm sure Adam and Eve were very happy about it, too, because they wouldn't have enjoyed walking around in a dark world before the light came. This decision, as God said, was "very good"!
And aren't you glad He first caused the waters to be gathered together so we could stand on dry ground from the beginning? (see Genesis 1:9) I don't know if we could've done it without supernatural swimming lessons otherwise. :-) God deemed this separation of water and land "very good," too.
friend, there is something else "very good" that God did: He created YOU! "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good…" (Genesis 1:31, NKJV)!
He said "everything"! Yes, you are included in this scripture! Even if you're wondering, "Why do others have such favor? Why are they healed, promoted, or considered first?", God has a plan in place that will make sense when you look back on it one day. He knows what He's doing, and it is amazingly good!
friend, I encourage you today—choose to stop thinking negatively about yourself and replace those thoughts with what is good! Bring to mind again what God thinks of you: "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good…" (Genesis 1:31, NKJV)!
His truth will set you free! (see John 8:32)
friend, God is pleased with His creation…He is glad that YOU exist! :-)
You are a miracle!
