How can you influence your family and friends?

Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of “A Miracle Every Day”. I pray his message and audio will bless you today.

There is an amazing promise in the Bible that will encourage you to influence your friends, family and coworkers. It’s found in Ephesians 1:19, which says, “and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength” (Ephesians 1:19, NIV).

When you unwrap this verse, you discover the word ‘power’ is ‘kratos’ in the original Greek language. Kratos means a type of power that establishes dominion. Dominion power from God that can help you start a successful business, create music, invent a new app, or to do something else that suits your situation.

Would you like to influence society, your city or family? Would you like to start a new trend that changes lives for good?

My mentor, Dr. Dobbins, told our graduate psychology class we can only control three things:

  1. Our thoughts
  2. Our feelings
  3. Our actions

He warned us we can’t control three things as well:

  1. The thoughts of others
  2. The feelings of others
  3. The actions of others

This concept is so liberating. It frees us from things we can’t control and puts the focus on things we should try to control. In the Bible, James warns that even this focus can be so hard, “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” (James 3:2, NKJV)

Isn’t this liberating but also frustrating? We all want to make people happy. We don’t want anyone to be mad at us, so what can we do? We can influence others by God’s power, our attitudes and actions. We can inspire people.

In what way do you want to influence others, industries or society?

Would you take a moment right now and ask God to fill you with kratos?

In Isaiah 6:8, God echoes through eternity with these words: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!””

Would you say a big “Yes” to God and leave the results to Him?

The greatest power anyone really has is influence.

You are a miracle.

You got me to thinking – so glad you put that verse in there about a perfect man ; I thought about Romans 8:1,&9. There is a time when one has to influence another (who is narcissist ) to see the side of Christ who hates evil . Your ministry influences me in a positive way – to God be the glory ✝️
