Let me tell you about a secret force…

Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of “A Miracle Every Day”. I pray his message and audio will bless you today.

There is a secret force that is released each time you speak.

While I was playing tennis with my son, I screamed out, “Goulet, you idiot!” Beautiful words of life, right? I was not yelling at my son; I was mad at myself because I missed a shot. I immediately stopped and said: “That’s not true. I may be a lot older and a lot slower, but I’m not an idiot.”

Do you ever speak words of condemnation to yourself? Have you called yourself ugly, stupid or something worse? Do you say things like: “I’m going to fail” or “I just can’t”?

I believe that the words coming out of your mouth can either create life, or they can create death. Do you believe this?

This morning, as I was reading the Bible, I stumbled upon the following in the book of John chapter 1: “In the beginning was the Word,… And the Word became flesh…” ‭‭(John‬ ‭1:1-14,‬ ‭NASB‬‬)

Could this be a clue to the power of our words? That our words turn into flesh?

That’s kind of scary, isn’t it? It makes me think about some of the hurtful and unkind words that I’ve said to people in the past.

This revelation makes me cry out to Jesus, “Oh God, please forgive me!”. It also makes me want to kick right into action.

I’ve put together this plan of action to make a positive change in my life, and I hope these tips help you as well:

  1. Ask God to forgive you. Great…you are now forgiven.
  2. Make a list of people you need to ask for forgiveness. Go see them, and just do it. Great…you are starting to rebuild.
  3. Cancel all the death words that are part of your self-talk.
  4. Speak life to God, yourself and others. Create life.

You can change your words for the better, or they can change you for the worse.

Please don’t forget you’re a miracle.

Paul Marc Goulet

Thank you, Paul Marc, for sharing this today!

Thanks for this message. It reminds me just how sharp and hurtful words can be to others as well as ourselves.
Tomorrow is our first worship service since the COVID19 shutdown. They’ve been streamed online but I’m excited to be able to go back and enjoy fellowship with my church family. Even though we will be doing the social distancing and wearing masks. It will be great to actually worship together.
God bless you and your ministry.

Thank you Paul for reminding us to think before we speak. I made this mistake often in the past. It still happens sometimes but with God’s help it’s going to stop, i know.
Thank you for reminding us every time that we’re a Miracle. God bless you??

AMEN, this is Awesome. Thank you Paul for your message. Indeed the words we speak to ourselves or our children make or destroy us in so many ways. I have always called myself a failure and I realised that most things I don’t have a headway in whatever I planned to do or started doing, until I realized that speaking positively to myself or others have gone a long way to improving my self confidence. Now I know it is very important to speak positively . Thank you once again and God bless you.
