What's your routine like?

Publication date Jun 15, 2024

"My alarm goes off, I hop out of bed and jump straight onto my treadmill. After I've showered, I make myself a coffee, read the Bible, and pray."

"Wow... I used to be so disciplined," I thought recently as I picked up my book Weightless, which was published in 2017. Today, my routine looks a bit different.

Today, I get up, make myself a coffee with delicious frothy milk, and then I sit down, read from my devotional book and my Bible, pray, and quickly type new miracle texts for you, friend.

I still do exercise, just later in the day, so my routine has changed somewhat. But do you notice how one thing in it all hasn't changed, friend? And I'm not talking about the coffee, haha! It’s my quiet time.

And actually, I find it funny that we call this time "quiet time," because if we're completely honest, it can quickly become loud or hectic during this "quiet time." Maybe that's the case for you because you still have to take care of your children simultaneously, the laundry is in the basement, or your phone is already waiting with many new messages for you.

 Stop.

Why do we let ourselves get distracted so easily?

Think about it carefully, friend. If you knew there was someone who knows you inside out, and He wants the absolute best for you, wouldn't you drop everything to go there first?

Who knows you inside out?

Jesus! Of course. The Bible says: "Jesus, however, did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people. He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person." (John 2:24 NIV)

Who wants the best for you? Also Jesus. "...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10 NIV)

Isn't that reason enough to develop a little routine to become aware of this first thing in the morning, friend?

Jesus knows you inside out—and has the best in store for you!

You are a miracle!
