A Visible Reminder

Publication date Aug 31, 2024

Why not just say “Thank You” to God today before He does something for you?

I shared this thought early in the morning on my Instagram channel because it moved me. Come on, honestly friend, it's so easy for us to thank God when we experience an answered prayer. But in the midst of waiting for our miracle, can we do it then too?

That morning, I read the daily devotion and was once again surprised at how well it fit together. And friend, before I reveal the devotion to you, another thought: The more you involve God in every detail of your life, the more you will recognize His speaking in detail. It will become normal for everything you read and do to align!

Anyway, it said: "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." (Romans 1:20 NLT

With this thought and my coffee in hand, I walked out of the door that morning, something I don't usually do. I wanted to see what God had created there! And I noticed a rose bush. It was quite wild, but upon closer inspection, I saw new buds forming nonetheless. And it dawned on me: "This is our God! Here He intervened Himself."

I was so grateful for this moment amidst His creation, which made me realize that He still keeps an eye on His work. Even what we humans have destroyed. That it's still His creation. And you too, friend, are still His creation, even if you've been neglected.

Where you fail, your Father will personally carry you through!

And that's why you can say thank you today, even before He does something for you. Because He has you in His sight, and like with the neglected rose bush—thanks to Him—good will still come out of you!

Do you want to start today by simply saying thank you?

I do: Thank you for being you!

You are a miracle!
