Accept Jesus' hope and salvation!
When I was in quarantine and not doing well health-wise, people on the outside took such wonderful care of me. My parents put so much food in front of my door that I could've easily stayed in quarantine for two more weeks without starving! Others who had seen on social media that I was sick asked for my address to send me vitamins. I was so touched by everyone's care!
All of this kindness would've done me no good, though, if I hadn't accepted it! I had hardly any appetite, which is always a clear indicator of an emergency with me—I absolutely love to eat! If I hadn't made meals a priority and forced myself to eat, I wouldn't have been able to accept the care others had offered out of love. And the helpful vitamins, which had cost these dear people quite a bit, wouldn't have helped me if I'd simply accepted them gratefully but not made it a point to take them daily.
Jesus has already "brought over" everything we need, even to the very doorsteps of our hearts! :-) Now it's up to us to accept that hope and take it in daily!
friend, I encourage you to make a conscious choice to accept the hope and salvation Jesus has given you because as this beautiful song proclaims, He is your living hope! Your hope is ALIVE!
Jesus is as real as the food and vitamins I had in front of me when I was so weak. But it's not enough just to know that what we need is there—we also have to reach for Him!:
"'Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.'" (Matthew 11:28, NIV) I believe Jesus is saying, "Don't just look at Me, friend...COME to me! I will give you rest and hope."
Jesus is alive! And that means you can continue on your journey today full of hope!
You are a miracle!
